Rural communities have too much power. It has made them arrogant.

Those evil PC teachers don't want you to know that the Republican Party was founded by Nathan Bedford Forrest.

I think Chicago should take the deal. And then after that Atlanta should secede from the rest of Georgia.

Jesus needs to come take them to secede into heaven, where they belong.

Stupid assholes.

How little power is the right amount for Republicans? It's already effectively zero, in Illinois.

Here's a look at Chicago's school system, through NAEP 8th grade math results. Note that Chicago systematically underperforms generic large central cities. Chicago's scores are below the statewide average of even Alabama.

Illinois as a whole, of course, outperforms Alabama, and it outperforms Chicago dramatically. In other words, downstate Illinois is demonstrably better educated.

Sorry, that's bullshit. And your sad little persecution complex is totally unwarranted. Did you even bother to do any research about IL govt? I'm guessing not if you claim R's have no voice in govt there. 11 of the 19 Reps from IL are Repubs. 1 of the 2 Senators is a Repub. The state has had R governors in the not too distant past.

As for states where one party dominates, it's a two-way street. A lot of your precious southern and midwestern teabag states are controlled by Republicans, to a far greater extent than IL is by Dems.
